Serving Size & Timing
Niacinamide is recommended to be taken in serving sizes between 100mg and 500mg to be consumed once daily preferably with a meal (since it increases the production of HCL which aids digestion further) depending on intended effect. 100mg is equal to about 1/32tsp. Niacinamide can be dangerous in larger servings so it is best to avoid servings larger than a single gram until consultation with a physician in possible. The FDA recommends that Niacinamide be taken in servings not to exceed 20mg. Therefore a serving of 100mg will be about 500% of the daily value of Niacinamide, and a serving of 500mg will be 2500% of the daily value.
This supplement is considered pharmaceutical grade and has no fillers of any kind present in it.
Niacinamide Side Effects
As long as suggested serving sizes are adhered to, few side effects will occur. These side effects will range from conditions such as redness and rash to other minor conditions like headaches. If taking drugs to prevent seizure such as primidone or carbamazepine, it is best to avoid this supplement. Taking amounts larger than the recommended dose can have serious effects that can sometimes be fatal including stomach ulcers and liver damage. Discontinue use of any of these side effects begin to develop and lower daily intake if any of the more minor side effects start to increase in veracity. This supplement dissolves quickly and easily in water and may be mixed with water or juice and consumed. The taste will be slightly sour with an even more slight bitterness as an aftertaste.
