The FDA recommendation for total Magnesium consumption is 400mg per day. Since this solution is made up of 5.4% Magnesium total, this means that a serving size of 1300mg is really only equal to about 70mg of Magnesium overall, which is less than 20% the daily value as recommended by the FDA. Since Magnesium should be taken in a ratio of 1:2 with Calcium for the desired effects to truly take place, it is also best to take a supplement of Calcium equal to twice the amount of Magnesium you are taking as long as this amount is still safely within the daily recommendations for both.
