
Hypromellose (HPMC)
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC), also known simply as hypromellose, may be used as a vegan alternative to animal gelatin and as a suspending agent in food and pharmaceutical products. It is also commonly used in eyedrops. It is also a common thickening agent and excipient in the food industry.
