Glycerol Monostearate (GMS)
What is Glycerol Monostearate?
Glycerol Monostearate (GMS) is an emulsifier and a thickening & anti-caking agent that may also promote muscle pump during workouts. In the food industry, GMS is used to add density to desserts like ice cream and whipped cream. It can also be used as a preservative or as a protective coating.
Some evidence may suggest that GMS may aid in hydration and give muscles a pump after exercise, but more research is needed to prove its effectiveness as a workout supplement.
