What is Chondroitin?

Chondroitin sulfate (CS) is composed of a chain of sugars and is a major component of cartilage, tendons, ligaments and bones. CS delivers nutrients to the cartilage, slows down the production of enzymes that destroy cartilage and speeds up the formation of new cartilage.

CS is derived from the cartilaginous tissue of cows, pigs, sharks, fish, and birds and can be taken as a supplement.

CS is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps ease the symptoms of arthritis and supports joint health. It helps ease minor joint pains and may help reduce the swelling associated with arthritis. In addition to supporting the joints, it may help support the heart, bladder, and eyes.
