What is Choline Bitartrate?

Choline bitartrate is the salt form of choline, an essential nutrient found in food and supplements. It helps the body stabilize choline and turns it into acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter essential to learning and memory, and lecithin, a fat essential to cells in the body. Choline is an essential nutrient necessary for proper body function. Even though it is not actually a B vitamin, it is sometimes considered to be a part of this complex because it operates in conjunction with various types of B vitamins to maintain adequate levels of health in the body.

This is the Choline L-Bitartrate variant.

Choline L-Bitartrate review

Resuming supplementing this substance after a long time without seemed to be very restorative for being able to cry and to dream, and I think this is probably an essential human vitamin. Apparently we make choline on our own, but according to Wikipedia the biosynthesis pathway(s) is/are not enough to meet our daily needs. Apparently choline even used to be classified as a vitamin but now it's not? Anyway excess choline seems to be harmless as it is very low toxicity until EXTREMELY excessive quantities, and can be passed along out of the kidneys without taking too much extra energy.

Opinion of a retired physician (thumbs up so far)

I am a retired ER physician with a heavy academic background in physiology and nutrition. I have been taking this product for only a week or so and therefore can't come to any conclusions as yet. I am bipolar and have memory issues that concern me because there is a history of Alzheimers in my family (my paternal grandfather). My tendency for mania is well controlled by some very potent prescription medications however I feel that the lack of risks and the possible benefits of choline bitartrate were an important reason to give it a try. I am taking about 600 mg per day.

Mr. Gary

I bought this product recently and feel it is a worthy deal. It looks very pure and taste not bad. It can last for a long time for me by a dosage 1 gram / per day. I am happy to include it into my daily supplements list.
