Butterbur (petasites hybridus), also known as bog rhubarb, devil's hat and pestilence wort, is a herbaceous perennial in the daisy family that is native to northern Asia & Europe.

As a dietary supplement, take 150 mg daily with water to prevent headaches, or as directed by physician.
Serving Size & Timing
Take 150 mg daily with plenty of water or as directed by a physician. The extract powder should be taken for 3-4 months before gradually lowering the dose. If symptoms reappear after lowering the dosage, gradually increase again. For the most accurate measuring results, use a milligram scale.

CONCENTRATION OF BUTTERBUR
This root extract contains 15% petasins, chemicals found naturally in the butterbur plant that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Our root extract is free of pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs).
BUTTERBUR SIDE EFFECTS
Provided suggested serving sizes are adhered to, this supplement should be safe to take by healthy adults. Only take butterbur that is PA-free. Pregnant women and those who are nursing should not take this product. Do not take if you are allergic to plants in the Asteraceae/Compositae family, such as ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, or daisies. Do not take if you are using other agents with the same active ingredients as butterbur, such as borage, gravel root, and ragwort. Do not use if you take any anticholinergics or antispasmodics, or if you have a history of liver problems. If you experience excessive headache, itchy eyes, stomach upset, breathing difficulties, or fatigue, stop using this product immediately and contact your doctor.
