I felt a soothing effect overall.

I've only been using this a short while, but I noticed a soothing quality right away, a calm evening out of my energy that is very welcome. I add it to my morning meditation tea as I watch the sun rise now, it seems as if my body breathes a sigh of relief. I guess it must be the effects of the silymarin in the artichoke powder, and I'm guessing my liver must have needed it. There is so much toxicity in our environment now, and this seems to me a good way to help the body deal with it.

Mixes well with other supplements

This is a good herbal powder to add to a supplement stack. It mixes really well also. I was reading that artichoke is really good for many health concerns. Its supposed to be good for the liver and I was reading it does contain silymarin the antioxidant in Milk thistle that many source as its benefit. I don't know the percentage of silymarin in artichokes and can't find the information. This is said to also be good for lowering cholesterol and increasing fat metabolism. I have stacked this with a cartful of other bulk supplements and it adds a bit of color and flavor.

Best way to get Artichoke w/o actually eating them

I found out that artichokes are good for people like me that have kidney issues. I have Stage 3 kidney disease & here is a insert from many articles on the subject. "Artichoke is a variety of a species of thistle cultivated as a food. The effects of artichoke is positive but not obvious. For chronic kidney disease patients, their kidneys cannot function adequately to discharge wastes such as creatinine and urea nitrogen. According to surveys, artichoke has certain property that are beneficial for dissolve the ammonia produce by protein metabolism, which is toxic to the liver and kidneys". This is very easy for me to take for I mix it with my super greens drink twice a day & I don't even know it is there. Great way to get what I need to help me stay as healthy as I can.
