Customer Reviews

I felt a soothing effect overall.
I've only been using this a short while, but I noticed a soothing quality right away, a calm evening out of my energy that is very welcome. I add it to my morning meditation tea as I watch the sun rise now, it seems as if my body breathes a sigh of relief. I guess it must be the effects of the silymarin in the artichoke powder, and I'm guessing my liver must have needed it. There is so much toxicity in our environment now, and this seems to me a good way to help the body deal with it.*

Mixes well with other supplements
This is a good herbal powder to add to a supplement stack. It mixes really well also. I was reading that artichoke is really good for many health concerns. Its supposed to be good for the liver and I was reading it does contain silymarin the antioxidant in Milk thistle that many source as its benefit. I don't know the percentage of silymarin in artichokes and can't find the information. This is said to also be good for lowering cholesterol and increasing fat metabolism.

I have stacked this with a cartful of other bulk supplements and it adds a bit of color and flavor. *

Best way to get Artichoke w/o actually eating them
I found out that artichokes are good for people like me that have kidney issues. I have Stage 3 kidney disease & here is a insert from many articles on the subject. "Artichoke is a variety of a species of thistle cultivated as a food. The effects of artichoke is positive but not obvious. For chronic kidney disease patients, their kidneys cannot function adequately to discharge wastes such as creatinine and urea nitrogen. According to surveys, artichoke has certain property that are beneficial for dissolve the ammonia produce by protein metabolism, which is toxic to the liver and kidneys". This is very easy for me to take for I mix it with my super greens drink twice a day & I don't even know it is there. Great way to get what I need to help me stay as healthy as I can.*

Easy to take and digest
On a recent blood test report my liver enzymes were slightly elevated so my doctor recommended that I add some liver support supplements--milk thistle, artichoke and dandelion. Of course, I turned to Bulk Supplements for the purest forms. I have been adding the artichoke extract powder to my morning green drink. The powder mixes instantly with no clumps and my drink tastes just the same as it did without the artichoke. I had no adverse reactions to taking the artichoke. I will slowly add the other supplements to my drink and hopefully my next lab report will show my liver enzymes to be normal.*

Certainly fits the bill
Artichoke

If something someone could eat to gain the tremendous health benefits without going through the hassle of cooking it, an Artichoke must be right at the top of the list. Eating the meat of a cooked artichoke especially the heart is fun. Cooking an artichoke is an art form. I love them served soaking in oil or butter but go to a restaurant to get it prepared. The artichoke amazing benefits are at the top of the other vegetables.
There are amazing health benefits, like being high in antioxidants and help prevent and treat cancer. But the reason I have gotten it, is the artichoke is s good for the digestion by being high in fiber and increasing bile flow which helps the liver. I have been working on my IBS (irritated bowl) and this sure does fit the bill. As always, great product keep it up!!*
