What Are Essential Amino Acids Supplements?

Essential amino acids supplements (EAA) contain amino acids that are essential for bodily function but must be acquired through the diet. Amino acids are carbon-containing molecules that are the building blocks of protein; they form chains that become protein molecules. Proteins provide structure to all cells, especially those found in muscle tissue, and play a role in growth, repairing tissue, building muscle, moving nutrients, initiating chemical processes, and preventing illness.

Essential Amino Acids Supplements Benefits

Essential amino acids supplements have many benefits because essential amino acids are involved in nearly every chemical process in the body. Of the 20 amino acids, nine cannot be produced by the body and are essential to human health, boosting athletic performance and general well-being. Essential amino acids are the primary performance supplement for building strength, promoting healthy metabolism, and supporting connective tissue.

Tasted Horrible

I bought the BCAAs last time with no issues. However, the EAAs taste horrible! They smell horrible as well. The service size of 2 Tbls is unbearable. I have been using a rounded quarter tsp and it still has quite an off-putting taste in my pre-workout. The serving size for the BCAAs was 3/4 tsp, and I had no issues with that. I will be going back to the BCAAs next time. Very unhappy with the EAAs.

Excellent! Has really helped me build back lost muscle! Mixes easily with water. It does what you need it to but, hold your breath drinking it. It tastes pretty horrid.

Great value and performance

I have been using materials such as BCAA's, casein hydrolysate, whey hydrolysate, and combinations such as with citrulline malate since I suppose about 2005 or basically when casein hydrolysate came out. And the others since before then. From experience I'm absolutely convinced that EAA's plus casein hydrolysate is better than any amount of casein hydrolysate alone, and EAA's alone are about as good as that or better yet much more affordable. On taste complaints, if you want performance, this is how it is. It should not matter. Personally I don't think it' significantly bad but I would use it no doubt if it was 10 times as bitter or whatever the objection is. The above is with reference to during-workout use. It's also useful and well worth it for supporting what is otherwise a fast, or first thing in the morning.
