What is Betaine Anhydrous Trimethylglycine (TMG)?

Betaine anhydrous trimethylglycine (TMG) is an amino acid and one of the building blocks of protein. TMG contains three methyl groups and functions very closely with other nutrients like choline, folic acid, and vitamin B12.

The word “anhydrous” means “without the presence of water.” Betaine anhydrous is a naturally-occurring compound found in various grain and vegetable products. Betaine TMG is unique because it has the ability to donate one of its methyl groups which means that it can support essential chemical processes in our bodies like liver function, cell replication, and detoxification.

Benefits

TMG may help strengthen muscles and improve endurance at the gym. It helps support a healthy liver and contribute to a healthy heart.

  • Helps strengthen muscles
  • Improves endurance
  • Supports a healthy liver
  • Contributes to heart health

Betaine was first identified in sugar beets in the 19th century. It can also be found in many different dietary sources including beans and legumes, grain cereals, wine, seafood and leafy green vegetables.

This supplement can be taken in conjunction with Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate, Creatine Monohydrate or Creatine Ethyl Ester for muscle mass gain. The taste of Betaine Anhydrous could well be described as sour or tart. It can be mixed easily in a variety of solutions as long as they are heated beforehand. This includes plain water. There is also a taste difference between the more mild form of Betaine and the potent HCL Betaine.

Best betaine

2.5g pre workout works great. Can be added to other pre workouts that don't contain betaine or put in post-workout protein shake. flavorless and mixes easy. Highly recommended!
