Hydrolyzed Collagen (Porcine)
What Is Porcine Collagen?
Porcine collagen consists of one of the most abundant proteins in the body (collagen) and is isolated from pigs. Hydrolyzed collagen is a major building block of bones, skin, muscles, ligaments, and tendons and is often sourced from the parts of animals that are too tough to eat, such as the joints, bones, and cartilage. Collagen is found throughout the body and is commonly referred to as "glue." The word "collagen" comes from the Greek word for "glue" (kólla).
