Customer service is a little lacking, but the product itself seems to be top-notch. I requested a Certificate of Analysis before purchasing and never received one, but figured it was a relatively cheap investment so I bought some anyway. As background: I'm a scientist, working with human gut bacteria. This chemical encourages the growth of some otherwise "unculturable" microbes--things that are very picky eaters, more or less, so they won't grow in a petri dish without their favorite food. As a result, we go through a lot of N-acetyl glucosamine, and buying from Tokyo Chemical (as our lab has always done) was getting expensive. So I turned to Bulk Supplements. Never got my CoA, but the "Food grade GMP" stamp on the side of the bag is reassuring, and I ran a side-by-side test where I grew two batches of the same microbe--one using this stuff and another using the lab grade stuff, which is literally 10 TIMES as expensive. As far as the microbes are concerned, it's exactly the same! Both cultures grew beautifully. Thank you, Bulk Supplements! You saved us $450 and will probably be saving us more in the future--any time we need a food-adjacent chemical, I'll be sure to check your site first.
