Anxiolytic (inhibits anxiety)

This is a great supplement. It goes very well with Taurine, Lemon Balm, and Glycine (GABA synthesis) for sleep or calming. I didn't feel "knocked out" but calm and clear. which is great for sleep. I believe it helps one stay asleep (from waking again in middle of night). Taste is fine!
