An excellent product

This powder dissolves instantly and mixes completely. The flavor is unobtrusive. In addition to many other benefits, astragalus is said to decrease the shortening of telomeres that occurs with aging. What a great way to add this important herb to the diet, without having to swallow pills and ingest fillers.

It was great so have purchased more. Doesn't taste too bad, is easy to take.

I first heard about Astragalus in the book, Beating Cancer with Nutrition by Patrick Quillin. It aids in cancer treatment and recovery from chemotherapy, per Quillin. As opposed to echinacea, it can be taken on a daily basis to support the immune system. Astragalus is one of the best-researched immune system stimulants now available. It has anti-inflammatory results as well. I put 1/4 teaspoon in my smoothies, or in a vegetarian encapsulated form each day. Astragalus has also shown some vasodilatory as well as anti-inflammatory action. Its anti-inflammatory effects occur, it seems, because it inhibits the release of histamines from mast cells. Quercetin, a polyphenol, works the same way. Consequently, astragalus could help relieve hay fever and other allergic conditions. I have personally used astragalus as a remedy for my seasonal hay fever. Diabetes chronic respiratory problems.
