What Is Egg White Protein?

Egg white protein is derived from the albumin of the egg, which is the transparent portion of an uncooked egg. The albumin contains the highest concentration of protein inside the egg.

Egg White Protein Benefits

Egg white protein has less carbohydrates than whey and contains almost no fat. Egg white protein offers 25 g of protein per serving, which is similar to whey and other proteins, except egg white protein contains no lactose or soy and may be easier on the stomach for some people.

Good product, awful delivery

I bought fifty pounds of egg white protein powder. It was delivered through OnTrac, a one-star delivery company with hundreds of online horror stories of misdelivered or stolen packages. In my case they were merely a week late and left the package by the side of the driveway a hundred feet from my house, so I got off lucky. The price was great and the product seems like exactly the no fuss, no frills egg white I ordered, but by working with a company as sketchy as OnTrac I feel they really gambled with whether I got what I paid for or not.

Something I can live with.

I have tried several protein supplements and it always seems my body has a problem with them. At 57 my body is more picky than when I was 20 something. I eat eggs every now and then with no adverse effects so I thought why not try egg white powder. So far, no problems. In addition, for those who remember the old "Orange Julius", turns out this is a key ingredient in the recipe, at least according to "" by Todd Wilbur. I have not tried it yet with orange juice yet but I have tried it with other juices and it makes a nice addition to the morning smoothie. I can also go away thinking it just a little bit healthier thanks to the egg whites. Thanks, Tracy
