DIM SIDE EFFECTS
The supplement is considered safe as long as suggested serving size is adhered to (this includes amounts that are taken from natural sources as well, which must be counted in the overall daily dosage calculation for safety reasons). Those with a history of any kind of liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, or food allergies should first speak with a doctor.
Women who are pregnant or lactating should avoid the use of this product unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, as it may affect estrogen production during nursing. Even though humans exhibit no side effects when exposed to normal levels of DIM, it has been shown to be toxic to canines at high levels, so it should be kept away from dogs.
TIPS
As a lipophilic compound, Diindolylmethane is best absorbed by the body when in the presence of oils or other compounds like it. Vitamin E is a specifically good choice to be taken with this supplement, as it will greatly improve the rate of absorption.
