What Is Matcha Green Tea Powder (Camellia sinensis)?

Matcha green tea powder is made from the dried leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant by steaming and cooking the leaves then drying them. Because matcha green tea powder is not fermented, it has a high polyphenol content. It is also rich in EGCG (epigallocatechin), which is a powerful compound that can be found in green teas, bananas, and pomegranates. Matcha green tea powder is made by finely grinding the leaves into a fine powder.

Matcha green tea powder naturally contains caffeine.

Middle-of-the-Road taste/colr

Just "okay" flavor and color. Many other better matcha's out there. But this is okay more as a supplement than actual tea

I love matcha, and I drink matcha latte every day and a few times a day! Yet, I didn't like this. First cup I made was bad, because I am so used to what I have been drinking. I buy 100% Organic Japanese Matcha from Amazon, and I should stick to it. It is not the ceremonial grade, but it is really good for the middle grade. I drink it every day instead of coffee. I cannot afford that ceremonial grade, but the one I order from Amazon is really good for the price. I am sorry to say that this is not even middle grade for me. It has really tangy strange flavor and smells a little weird. I think if you use this for a health reason into a shake or baking, it might be okay. I am sorry, but I really wanted to love! I probably use this for matcha cookies or something instead of drinking as my favorite matcha latte. I guess I trusted the reviews here. I hate to give the critical reviews, but I didn't want people to get disappointed like I did. By the way, I like all the other items I have ordered from Bulksupplements! I love this company. The customer service is great.
