As a dietary supplement and sweetener, use as desired. Stevia is about 300 times sweeter than regular sugar; the typical amount recommended is 40 mg, or about 1/32 tsp. Use a milligram scale for measuring.
STEVIA EXTRACT SIDE EFFECTS
Stevia is considered safe for general consumption. However, mild gastrointestinal discomfort and decreased appetite may occur. Anyone experiencing bloating or nausea should decrease their intake and speak with a doctor if symptoms worsen. An allergic reaction to Stevia may induce symptoms of shortness of breath, hives, difficulty swallowing and dizziness.
