Creatine works by increasing the amount of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) produced by the body by giving up a phosphate ion. This takes place during exercise which creates a high demand for energy, triggering this process. Once this occurs, the newly created ATP drives muscle contraction and then goes on to produce even more protein. Since this reaction is reversible, this also allows the Adenosine Diphosphate (the original form of Adenosine Triphosphate before Creatine donates an ion to it) to create more Creatine in the form of Phosphocreatine, a type of Creatine which can be stored in the muscles for later use.

As a dietary supplement, take 750mg to 1500mg daily, preferably before working out. Individual needs vary greatly. Drink a lot of water.

Serving Size & Timing

Creatine HCL is suggested to be taken in doses of 750 mg to 1500mg daily. It performs best when taken once before an exercise, and depending on how strenuous the exercise is, it may even be taken once afterward as well. It works best when taken with Glucose. Caffeine should not be consumed while taking the Creatine HCL supplement.

This product should be consumed with plenty of water.

CONCENTRATION OF CREATINE HCL

There are no fillers of any kind to be found in this supplement. It is pure food grade and vegan.

Please note: Creatine HCL is naturally hygroscopic and will clump up even with very little moisture present in the air. However, this product is very water-soluble, and any clumps will easily dissolve once mixed into your drink of choice. It is still perfectly safe to take in this form. Every package contains a desiccant packet to help absorb excess moisture.

CREATINE HCL SIDE EFFECTS

If the suggested serving size is ignored and more than recommended is taken, this may result in such diverse side effects as weight gain, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, diarrhea, kidney issues, rash, vomiting, and other gastrointestinal problems. If mild side effects do occur, we would suggest that you stop supplementation for 7 days and restart it at a lower dose.

Those taking diabetes medication may wish to avoid this supplement, as there is the potential for dangerous interactions. Those with liver damage, children under the age of 18 and women who are pregnant or nursing are cautioned from taking this supplement without proper discussion with a physician. Caffeine, when taken with Creatine, may also have the effect of increasing the likelihood of negative side effects. Creatine should not be taken with Caffeine under any circumstances. Because of the way it can affect bodily functions, it is recommended that a Creatine course be discussed with a doctor first, no matter what the health condition of the person interested in taking the supplement is.

TIPS

This powder has no added flavor and naturally tastes slightly bitter. It can be dissolved easily in water, juice, or shakes. When it is taken with medication meant to increase levels of insulin in the body, the effectiveness of absorption is increased by a great deal. Also, beverages such as grape juice which are high in Dextrose will help produce Insulin, which has the same effect in terms of increasing the effectiveness of Creatine HCL.

Creatine HCL is best taken with a simple sugar solution, which rapidly increases the uptake of Creatine to the muscle cells. Dextrose is the preferred simple sugar (carbohydrate), as this is a tried and tested combination. Some studies have also advocated the use of D-Ribose in conjunction with Creatine, and together they have been shown to increase muscular work capacity.
