This powder is sourced from the leaf and stem of the plant and contains no additives, fillers, or binders of any kind.
AMERICAN GINSENG EXTRACT POWDER SIDE EFFECTS
Daily supplementation is not recommended for more than 6 months without a resting period, as ginseng may have hormone-like effects in higher doses. Common side effects include insomnia, reduced appetite, mild digestive discomfort and changes in mood. If signs of an allergic reaction occur (rash, swelling, itching), discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention.
Pregnant and nursing women should not take this supplement. Please note: Those with autoimmune disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions or schizophrenia should not take ginseng without the approval of a trusted physician. Ginseng has been known to cause changes in heart rhythm and blood pressure on the first day of use. However, these effects typically do not continue with prolonged use. As with any supplement, independent research is encouraged.

I take half a gram in the morning another half a gram in the afternoon it takes an hour or two but I feel focused and energized without the jitters. It's a pretty good herb to have in the cupboard.*

This Ginseng added that early morning energy that I needed to help start and maintain a level of alertness throughout my work day. Just need to find the right amount for you as an individual. 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon really does the trick. Some might laugh buy I just mix with water and sake it up and down it goes really don't mind the taste. Well worth the purchase.*

I tried this product at several dosage levels, and found that at dosage of about 1/4 teaspoon was preferable over higher dosages. The 1/4 teaspoon dosage per day provided some additional mental calmness.
The higher dosage ( 1/2 teaspoon ) seemed quite strong and had the opposite effect from a calming perspective.
This extract can be taken 'straight' but it pretty strong tasting, and its better to sprinkle it over peanut butter on toast or something similar... that way its better dispersed and likely better digested.* -
