N-Acetyl L-Glutamine Capsules
N-Acetyl L-Glutamine is essentially just a version of L-Glutamine which has been acetylated. Its rate of and effects on metabolism are considerably more pronounced than those of standard L-Glutamine, and it is also has more stability in water.
Glutamine is considered a nonessential acid, which means that the body can naturally manufacture it without supplementation. Because Glutamine is an energy source, however, it can be significantly reduced once exercise has taken place. Levels will stay at a low until the person has completely recovered from the exercise.
Serving Size & Timing
The suggested serving size for N-Acetyl L-Glutamine is between 1 to 2 capsules to be taken three times per day. N-Acetyl L-Glutamine works best when it is consumed on an empty stomach. Those that use this supplement as an exercise aid generally prefer to take one of their doses directly after exercise in order to immediately replenish what was lost.
