Manganese Gluconate Powder
- May assist collagen production
- Promotes healthy skin & joints
- Lab-tested & verified
Manganese Gluconate is a salt combining Gluconic Acid and Manganese. It is meant primarily to function as a coenzyme to several different metabolic processes.
Manganese works well when combined with B vitamins, increasing their effectiveness as well as its own.
Serving Size & Timing
It is suggested that Manganese Gluconate be taken in servings of 100mg per day. Since the FDA recommends that only 2mg of elemental Manganese be taken per day, a serving of 100mg with only 11% of it being Manganese will come out to a total of 11mg of Manganese per day.
It is important to remember that at high enough levels, Manganese Gluconate is considered toxic. Therefore, it is best to use caution when taking this supplement. It should not be measured out with measuring spoons, but with an accurate milligram scale.

INGREDIENTS & FURTHER INFORMATION
CONCENTRATION OF MANGANESE GLUCONATE
This supplement is considered pharmaceutical grade and has no additives of any kind in it. The total amount of Manganese present is about 11%.
MANGANESE GLUCONATE SIDE EFFECTS
As long as suggested serving sizes are adhered to, Manganese Gluconate is considered safe. Taking too much of it may cause toxicity, which can result in development of a condition similar to Parkinson's disease or even liver failure. Anyone with a natural iron deficiency or with chronic liver conditions should avoid taking this product without talking to a doctor first. It should also not be taken by women who are pregnant or breast feeding.
Manganese Gluconate comes in the form of a powder with a slight pink hue. It is soluble in water but not alcohol. This type of supplement must always be taken on an empty stomach and should not be taken along with other minerals such as calcium, copper, zinc or iron, which all have the ability to decrease Manganese absorption overall. This product should be stored in an area free from light, heat and moisture in order to preserve its potency and effectiveness as a supplement.
Clarity and disclosure is high in my universe. With all the tweaks and diet controls, it is difficult to separate out the actual impact of a product -- but the full label and warnings, etc. are extremely significant -- and other comments as well. Most of us do not think of "doing too much" of a product -- and I am grateful to have resource with great products that actually warn of too much is not a good thing, and to measure, Measure, MEASURE!!
Thank you Bulk, for being there for me. And, with the extra support for my back ligaments without more expensive capsule formulas from other companies, I am certain that this will be the best in this category.*

This powder has a very sweet and pleasant taste. I just take it straight up directly on my tongue without mixing into water. By using a milligram scale, I've determined that 1/64 teaspoonful is always less than 100mg, usually somewhere between 60 and 75mg. The maximum daily dose should never be more than 100mg providing 11mg of elemental manganese. Thus, I feel comfortable scooping out an amount of powder generally between 6 and 9mg of elemental manganese, without the bother of using my milligram scale - at least for this bag. I would again check the measurement when I reorder a new bag.

I was always baffled that while supplements are hailed as being "good for you," the supplements that you find at your typical grocer or pharmacy are full of artificial this and artificial that. Many of the choices at your typical health-store are not that much more pure.
Then, along came BulkSupplements! Finally ... Supplements that Make Sense!
I add this supplement to either the mustard that I put on top of a hard-boiled egg or in my yogurt-fruit-spread combination -- with no change to the flavors!
Thank you, BulkSupplements, for doing the right thing!*

Have only had it a few days and already we are seeing results. I love that it is pure and free of fillers. On the other hand, it was crucial that I had a milligram scale to measure the correct dosage because it is very concentrated. The powder was easy to work with, and the containing bag seems like it will stand the test of time.*
