Magnesium Gluconate Capsules
Magnesium Gluconate is the resulting combination of Magnesium and Gluconic Acid salt.
As opposed to Magnesium Carbonate and Magnesium Citrate (the more common, cheaper varieties of Magnesium supplementation), Magnesium Gluconate has a notably high bioavailability.
Serving Size & Timing
The recommended dosage of Magnesium Gluconate is 2 capsules to be taken once per day.
The FDA recommendation for total Magnesium consumption is 400mg per day. Since this solution is made up of 5.4% Magnesium total, this means that a serving size of 1000 mg is really only equal to about 54 mg of Magnesium overall, which is less than 20% the daily value as recommended by the FDA. Since Magnesium works so well with Calcium, it is recommended that for the amount of Magnesium supplement taken, twice that should be taken in Calcium supplement.
