Primarily used as a stabilizer and emulsifier in foods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, Lecithin is a type of essential fat naturally found in several places. Although it is present in small amounts in animal and plant tissue, Lecithin powder is typically derived from soybeans and egg yolks.
While Lecithin is mainly a phospholipid mixture, it also contains phosphorous and other nitrogenous compounds such as Choline. It is completely edible and is found in varying amounts in all living organisms. As an emulsifier, Lecithin is important in the production of various foods and cosmetics such as conditioners, creams and lipsticks.

I use this with the alpha lipoic acid to help it mix. Equal amounts of each, add some water, and the ALA mixes now when it wouldn't before. Also a good source of choline. I would definitely recommend and will be buying more.*
