L-Valine is one of three Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs), the other two being Isoleucine and Leucine.
About 1/4 of overall protein intake in a standard diet is in the form of BCAAs, and L-Valine is considered an essential amino acid because the body cannot provide significant enough amounts on its own. It must be found through supplementation or other dietary means.
Serving Size & Timing
This supplement should be taken in servings of 1000 to 2000mg to be consumed once or twice daily. However, Isoleucine and Leucine should also be supplemented. Increased dosage should be discussed with a physician.

L-VALINE SIDE EFFECTS
L-Valine is safe at suggested serving sizes but can cause liver or kidney functions to be impaired if taken in excess. This is especially dangerous for women who are nursing or pregnant as well as anyone that has ever had liver or kidney issues in the past.
This supplement has a bitter flavor and is not very water soluble. It is best to mix with a protein shake and drink. It should be stored in an area that is free from light, heat and moisture in order to preserve its potency and effectiveness.
Added to my current blend for pre workout and noticed an increase in energy and stamina at the gym. If you haven't already added to you mix, you should!*

These are awesome amino acids, you don't want to take too many of them at once; you need to be active, and sweat and exercise and eat lots of leafy greens, and drink lots of water with them or they can potentially cause oxidative stress on the system from a buildup of ammonia. So..
Just don't go crazy. I bought all of them, Leucine, Isoleucine, Valine. The Leucine has kept since July nicely. The Valine and Isoleucine smell fine, they don't smell as if any of the compounds have broken down. ( no ammonia smell ) the flavor is fine.
Best way to take is to put a small amount, maybe half a tsp of iso and valine, and a teaspoon of leucine and chase with a protein drink.
You can do leg presses and run marathons all in the same day with this stuff. *
