L-Carnitine HCL Powder
- Essential amino acid
- Increased bioavailability
- Promotes heart & circulatory health
L-Carnitine is the chief amino acid that helps the body convert fats into energy. It may also help improve circulation and promote overall heart health.
Taking D-Carnitine can cause interference with the supplementation of L-Carnitine, which can then cause further problems.
Carnitine is considered conditionally essential, meaning that there are certain conditions a person can undergo which might make supplementation or dietary changes necessary to keep up Carnitine levels.

L-CARNITINE HCL SIDE EFFECTS
As long as suggested serving sizes are adhered to, risk of suffering side effects is low. However, rare symptoms include possible fishy body odor and rash. Taking too much per day may result in nausea, diarrhea and cramps. Anyone suffering from heart problems, fatigue or a thyroid condition should talk to a doctor before taking this supplement. Also, anyone taking any kind of prescribed nutrient, supplement or medication should speak with their prescribing doctor before use.
L-Carnitine is great in addition to other ergogenics such as caffeine because of its ability to breakdown lipids within cells. L-Carnitine should be taken with a meal and typically post-workout or at night. L-Carnitine also has synergistic effects when taken with its acetyl form (NALT) which can pass the blood-brain barrier. NALT should be taken pre-workout on an empty stomach followed by L-Carnitine post-workout. I take my L-Carnitine with my post-workout protein shake. Total Carnitine consumption (NALT + L-Carnitine) not to exceed 3000mg daily. Personally, I take 1000mg pre-workout and 1000mg post-workout. Remember anything that has an acetyl group will taste like reduced vinegar i.e. acetic acid. Also, the acetyl group plays an important role in CoA regulation. Do your research!*
