While Alanine is considered a nonessential acid, meaning that it is produced naturally in the body, L-Alanine supplementation can be very important. This is a pure product that comes in powdered form.

L-ALANINE SIDE EFFECTS
As long as suggested serving sizes are adhered to, risk of side effects is low. However, anyone that has been diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, prostatitis or any other blood-sensitive condition should stay away from this supplement unless specifically directed by a medical professional. If your levels of tyrosine and phenylalanine are low when taking this supplement in high amounts, this may lead to what is known as chronic fatigue syndrome and may make you more susceptible to the Epstein-Barr virus.
Though Alanine alone does not have any side effects, taking an imbalanced amount of any amino acid along with it could cause the chemistry of the liver to upset, making it harder for the body to get rid of toxins. Anyone that has a weak liver or kidneys should talk with a professional before taking this supplement.
This supplement has a sweet flavor and is soluble in water. It can be mixed with water, juice, or a protein shake. It should be stored in an area free from light, heat, and moisture.
Alanine is usually derived from diets that have a standard amount of protein in them. However, if for any reason you happen to have a very low protein diet, it would be best to take an Alanine supplement. Alanine can be found naturally in many different dietary locations including meat, beans, seafood, yeast, brown rice bran, dairy, nuts, corn, gelatin and other whole grains.
I purchase this for my husband. He takes it with Glycine to help shrink the prostate. It has a sweet taste and he adds it to his coffee. Dissolves easily. Seems to be effective. I like that it has no additives nor fillers. Thank you.*

Bought this for the ability to convert glucose to energy. It did what it was suppose to do I just think I took it at the wrong time. Energy level was not as intense as I thought but it was sustainable. Mostly taken in the morning, pre-workout and in a smoothie after workout, maybe I overloaded. Still working out the dosages.*
