My wife has had trouble with gout, varicose veins, and now some puffy retention in her left foot. After researching her ailments I've managed to get the gout under control with daily turmeric from BS, the veins under control with nattokanase from BS and after a few weeks on the horse chestnut her foot has returned to normal. This stuff is pure and does a great job with blood flow.
Examine.com shows horse chestnut studies findings as follows
for chronic venous insufficiency...Due to the venotrophic effects of aescin supplementation, disease states associated with blood pooling in extremities are significantly and fairly reliably treated with horse chestnut.
for leg swelling....Symptoms of leg swelling and varicose veins appear to be fairly reliably reduced with the recommended oral doses of horse chestnut supplementation.
for pain.....The pain associated with chronic venous insufficiency may be alleviated when that condition is treated by horse chestnut extract.
for hemorrhoids.... Preliminary evidence suggests that the classical usage of horse chestnut for the treatment of hemorrhoids may be relevant to oral supplementation, with benefits within a week of usage.
This stuff packs a punch and does even better which butchers broom.
As always great service price and quality from BS. Will order again.*

Supposed to improve circulation everywhere in the body but hope it will improve my husbands cold feet. We both deal with some leg cramps, but not always. Have hopes that this will make a difference in varicose veins also.
Thanks again BS.*

Works great for varicose vein issues such as cramping in the calves, leg heaviness in the morning not caused by water retention or edema, certain headaches and for ankle swelling but no pain due to the veins. Works on the small capillaries. 2 > #00 capsules = 1000mg. taking 2 x a day. Its sweet tasting with a backside of sourness. The taste will stay and hang around on your taste buds for awhile Adding Butchers Broom along taking horse chestnut tightens pores eliminates dark circles and bags under the eyes as well as varicose vein problems.*

Had got this for a friend. She had been having the right ankle swelling after hours of being on her feet. She noted that her legs had been feeling heavy in the morning. Though she had no edema swelling or water retention. So I had her try the horse chestnut extract for varicose veins that would be causing the problem of leg heaviness in the morning and evening of the ankle swelling but no pain. It worked wonderfully. Having taken > 2 > size #00 capsules 2 x day ( #00 capsule Is = to 500mg) . As the taste of it is a bit difficult to leave the taste buds. The flavor of horse chestnut loves to hang on to the taste buds.It is slightly sweet but more sour tasting. But her problems were taken care. The other she noted was she was having a barometric pressure headache when the weather changed suddenly and storms moved in. She said it got rid of the headache in 15mins. Her face also after 2 weeks being on it she looks more rested. It goes after the same capillaries*
