Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C Ester) Capsules
Ascorbyl Palmitate is the by-product of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) combined with Palmitic Acid. Alone, Vitamin C is not fat soluble. However, with Ascorbyl Palmitate, the concentration of Vitamin C taken in by the body can be stored for later consumption. Like Vitamin C on its own, Ascorbyl Palmitate is known to work well when combined with Vitamin E by allowing regeneration of this antioxidant to occur more rapidly.
Health Benefits Provided by Ascorbyl Palmitate
Ascorbyl Palmitate has many of the same essential roles as Vitamin C and is intended to promote overall wellness.
Serving Size & Timing
The amount of Vitamin C contained in Ascorbyl Palmitate is about 40 percent, which means that the FDA’s recommendation that only 60 mg of Vitamin C should be consumed in a day needs to be calculated out correctly to avoid overdosing (even though up to 2,000 mg of Vitamin C taken per day has shown no negative effects during testing).

INGREDIENTS & FURTHER INFORMATION
CONCENTRATION OF ASCORBYL PALMITATE
This product is an ester of ascorbic and palmitic acid with no extra additives or fillers of any kind. The powder should be stored in a place that is both cool and dry.
ASCORBYL PALMITATE SIDE EFFECTS
There are no immediate side effects for those in good health. However, those with chronic illnesses and those that are pregnant should consult a physician before use. This also applies to individuals with diabetes, sickle cell anemia, history of kidney problems or even iron overload.
Infants run the risk of developing scurvy in the womb if mothers exceed the recommended dose. For pregnant women, no more than 60mg should be taken in one day.
If you are taking any amphetamines or medication designed to assist blood thinning, there is a strong possibility that Ascorbyl Palmitate will react negatively to them. If you happen to suffer from Copper deficiency or you have too much Iron in your body, it would be best not to take Ascorbyl Palmitate. Common side effects of overdose are mild gastrointestinal issues.
